A place to eat

Hello again :D

The topic of this week is food! Well, actually not the food but a place to eat.
I’m not vegetarian or nothing at all, so I eat of everything except vegetables as beans or lentils, I don’t like them xd

Anyway, I love eating, especially desserts. I love sweet things with a lot of sugar.

I have no favorite place to eat, mainly because I know none. But when I go out with my friends we always end in a small cafeteria or in a gelato. Bravissimo and Alegretto are our favorites when we are in the center or in the mall, we buy ice cream giant glasses and spend hours talking about everything.  In both gelatos have so many flavors to chose, it’s like heaven :3 also we can buy cakes or natural juice…it’s wonderful. I’m sure that you have been at least in one of these places, if you don’t…well, what are you waiting for?? Ice cream are great even in winter :D

I guess that this can’t be more longer and I couldn’t complete the 200 words and now I’m filling out with nothing and blah blah :P

Well, that’s it for today.

Have a great week!

Free

Hi guys!
I forgot to do the last work, so I’m gonna do it now xd

I have to say that it was difficult this thing of the “free post”, I had no idea what to talking about and actually I’m not sure yet, but here I go.

In the last few weeks I’ve been thinking about a lot of thing about myself and what I want to my life. I'm crazy about books, I like magic stories, the adventures…so, I guess is that what I want: a life worth telling. To live a billion of things and remember each one of them, the good ones and the bad ones –actually that’s why I have a diary :P – So, with that in mind I made a list. Did you watch the movie “The Bucket List” with Morgan Freeman? Yes? No? well, whatever xd I made a list with all the things I want to live before to die –and I forbade myself to die until do all of them, and they are so many that I could be immortal xdd –

I like to learn a lot of dances: tango, bachata, salsa, jazz funk…also, I like to learn to sing. Marcial arts, travel with friends, jump in bungee, skydiving, delta wings….Most of this are thing that scare me a lot, but I think that would be a great experience….an adventure.

I always think of something to add, so I hope that my life will be really, really long :D

I hope you’ve enjoy this topic. Make your own list! It would be funny :D

My career

Hi, guys!

Has been a while since the last time I wrote here. But here I am once again and today I’m going to talking about -drumroll- my career!!  :D

So  I’m gonna start saying that when I was in high school I wanted to be a Detective xd. I was so fan of CSI that all I wanted was to be like those guys. But then I realized that I don’t like blood, I have nauseas when I see a huge wound, so there was no way that work out for me.

After that “discovery” I had no idea of what to do with my life after the school. And then I watched Criminal Minds and I realized that psychology was a good way to approach of being a detective –yes, I have a lot of t.v. influence xd-

Today I’m not sure of want to be a detective some day or even a forensic psychologist, because I’m still thinking that it’s not my area. In fact I don’t know which my area is, because I like a lot of things and subjects and some may be contradictories. Oh-oh I’m confused :C

What I do know is that the psychology students need to more practice tools. There are a million of theories and all are important and interesting, but that is not enough. We need to apply, we need to do something concrete with the theory.

I think that the role of the psychologist is to know the people as human and help them to know themselves. The psychologist has the tools to help people to live with their problems, to understand it and get over it when they become an impediment for the daily. At least until they can do it by themselves, then we will be not necessary.

Well, that’s it for today  :D

Sir ken Robinson and the education problem

HI everyone! I hope you’re fine with the rain xdd

Today we’re going to talking about education apropos of the video of Sir Ken Robinson. I don’t know what I was expecting when a saw the title of the video, but I’m really agree with all that he said. The Education –with capital E- must concern all of us, because it is something that affects everyone and today is a problem that we all can see.

Being a teacher? Today no one wants to be a teacher. No one wants to teach to the childrens and why?? because the pay is not enough. That’s all. But the fact is that without teachers there would not society, not progress. We all need someone to teach us. Teach is a gift, is a talent…and learn from people who has it is gift too. So I can’t understand why is so frowned upon to say “Yes, I’m a teacher”. It should be a proud.

On the other hand, in the topic of the creativity I couldn’t be more agreeing. A few years ago if a kid was too restless, he was…a kid! He was normal. Not be able to be calm was part of the childhood. But nowadays if the kid can’t be in calm or if he is too distracted, then he has TDAH. Today childhood is sickness. I think that maybe –and just maybe- for some people could be pathologic, but just in adults (and not even in that case). I believe that we’re all different; we’re all special above all the kids! They’re especially especial xd Perhaps some kids are bad in language or maths or biology….but maybe they are good in art or music, maybe they’re going to be a great singers or dancers. Who knows? Is all part of be human J

My inspiration is gone, so I think that’s it for this week.
Enjoy the rain night c:

Hi, guys!

It's a little bit late, but Here I am to  talking to you about the Mandalas! (yeeei! :3 )
So, first: what in the world is a mandala? Well, basically a mandala is a form of art therapy in wich the thing is draw and paint a circle. Sounds simple? yes, it is. Also is very fun. But not all is simple, actually it has a very deep argument.
The mandala is a spiritual and symbol ritual present in many cultures in the world, especially in Buddhism and Hinduism. The word comes from Sanskrit and it means “circle”. The basic form of most mandalas is a square with four gates containing a circle with a center point. In general it’s geometric pattern represents the cosmos or a microcosmos of the universe. So, the mandala has been long used as a healing and meditation tool.
In occident, the psychoanalyst Carl Jung used mandalas as a form of therapy. His view about it was like "a representation of the unconscious self” and believed his paintings of mandalas enabled him to identify emotional disorders and work towards wholeness in personality.

Today the art of mandala is still using as a therapy in which the shapes and even the colours chosen can be as symbolic as the artist wants them to be. Because the therapy is the  draw, the creation of the mandala itself rather than the final result. Who’s drawing only have to worry about the circular center which is the real structure of the mandala.
(the center represents the soul, the heart…the center of the universe itself).

The reason why I chose the mandala as a form of therapy because it doesn’t need anything especial to be done and had a lot of benefits as relaxation, concentration and creativity among others. So, if you are bored or need something to do: paint one! there's so many websites with mandalas in black and white so you can download it just like that and work on it C:

I think that my presentation was…too fast. I mean the basement of the mandala and the art therapy deserves a little more time to explain it. But we had no time enough and I was nervous :P

Anyway, that’s it for this week.

Santiago

Hi, guys! Today we’re going to talk about Santiago city.

I’ve been living here the most part of my life, but actually I was born in Chillan, so I spend every summer there…but that’s not the topic  :P

Honestly, I don’t like this city very much. I mean, I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. One thing that I do like is that there’s always something to do: take a walk for the park or the hill (as St. Cristobal or St. Lucia); go to shopping, to a party, to the library…etc. Always you can find things interesting and enjoyable, so it’s almost impossible get bored. And how is a big –huge- city, there’s so many places for visit. But despite of this –and the fact that I really love live in a city- sometimes I don’t bear it.   The noise, the air…the people.  Everyone is getting late somewhere, so everyone is hurry and walking fast that makes me dizzy. The pollution is so high in the air that you can’t see the sky and the noise of everything drives me crazy. It makes me wish a little break of everything, you know? Take a breath of fresh air and rest of this stressing rhythm -my mom says that I’m groan about it too much-

I don’t know if there’s a way to change anything, but little things –as change the transport system, for example- could be a good way of get better.

Of course, if I have to recommend my city to a visitor or foreigner, I would talk him about the best places as the beauty of the parks or the historic center…I don’t know, the good things xdd those that we all love to visit.

So, I think that’s it for today.
Have a great week!

Bye! :)

Dreams, Dreams, Dreams!

The topic of this week is: dreams and ambitions.

I’m not really sure about how to start. If you ask me what I think I’ll do in 10 years, the answer is I have no idea.  I want to do a lot of things. One of those is travel around the world, especially for Europe. I’m actually really interested in Arthur’s legend, so I would like to know all those places  mentioned in the stories.

I wish to know places with historic value that are not so public. I don’t know if I’m explaining myself well.  Places as caves, ruins, etc. that the people use to ignore or just are part of a rumor.

Maybe it will sound crazy o childish, but the reason why I would like this is to be able to imagine another time, feel that I’m not in this age and transport myself to another world.  Sounds rare??

I like to think that at least part of the stories about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table could be true. So, yes, I’m a dreamer and I like the stories of magic =P

And that’s it, of course I want to do a lot of another things, but this is my craziest ambition, please don’t laugh at me c:

Kisses!

Music

Hi everyone! today I'm gonna talking about music. I think that it  is the best thing in world. C’mon, who doesn’t like music? Personally I love it, it is the best company in any moment.

I have no favorite groups actually; I really like a lot of bands and singers, though. I love the music of the eighties and the pop of the nineties. I love so many songs that I couldn’t choose just one.

A few weeks ago I watched a video on tv. It was about a girl on a bus and her boyfriend sends her a video to say goodbye. Another love story. But I don’t know, it was so sweet that I loved it. In the video they actually didn’t know each other, all is a dream of her and when she wakes up they meet. That was what attracted my attention, I guess. So when it finished I searched it on youtube.

The song is “Just a kiss” by Lady Antebellum. It is just another love story as I said before… maybe another silly love song as the other ones, but I hope you enjoy it as I do. At least the melody could be to relax. So I leave you the link

My friends and I

Hi guys! :)

Today's topic is "an image", so I'm gonna show you a picture that is special for me. Actually, it was hard to choose just one photo, all pictures that I have are specials, all of them remind me of beautiful moments with people that I love.

The picture that I choose to show you was taken in Valparaíso last year by   one of my friend's brother; it was in October more or less –I don’t remember exactly- for the “1000 drums carnival” (“El Carnaval de los mil tambores”, I don’t know if that is the translation) .   We got  lost in the city, so we decided to take a walk on the port before to go to the festival.

In the photo my high school and the college friends and I appear. I like it ‘cause I’m really glad to have them in my life. It’s like to still keep a part of the past and put it together with the present  so I can get the best persons I could find along my way besides my family :’)  -yes, I’m a little emotional–

I guess that’s it for today,

Thanks for reading! C:

Internet

Hi, the topic of today is the Internet! :D

I really like internet. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer surfing on websites. One page that I especially like it is a blog named mybooks-now.blogspot.com. This site has a lot of novels for download and most of them are romantic and fantasy stories, so I really enjoy it when I want to get a break and just relax reading something (also, all are free! Which is fantastic).

The girl who written it used to post reviews about the new sagas and I think that her comments are a good reference for read or not a novel of this genre (besides she is so funny to read).

My little sister downloads lots of this books and she  gave me the link, so because of her now I’m a kind of a fan and I visit this blog at least one or two times in the week.

That's it xd
